Words

It’s interesting listen to people talk in the Dr. Office. Speaking about people and things they probably know nothing about. Making assumptions or even comments based on facts, shouldn’t we watch our words?

What ever happened to if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.

What about the words we speak about ourselves?

If people only knew the power they have in their tongues. It directs our path and guides our way.

It possesses the power of life and death.. The choice is up to you!!

11 Days in

We are now officially half way through so to speak with our 21 days of prayer and fasting.  Let me just be honest and say it hasn’t been easy but then again anything worth having or achieving will require dedication and sacrifice.  Sometimes I would love to sneak into Paul’s Place in disguise and order a big fat Steak and a salad with Blue cheese dressing… Ok back to reality

I love the Clarity from fasting .. Without vision people die.. To have proper vision you must have clarity.  Clarity brings Focus and Focus brings the proper direction and that my friends brings CHANGE!!  What does God want to change in your life?

I know God is doing a NEW THING in my life, family and at Praise.  I believe we currently have the best leadership team in place to serve this Church and fulfill the call God has given us, TO REACH, RESTORE, RELEASE.

Creating space

Posted: January 7, 2012 in Uncategorized

God is a filler not a forcer. The key for Him to move in our lives is to create space for Him to fill. How hard can that be, right?

Makes me think about my once relatively clean garage. If I ever want to get my cars back in there I must remove the the mess that lies within…

Leftover boxes from beds, Christmas gifts, lights on sale at Lowes, tires, ladder, more boxes, workout equipment! Wow I’m tired just thinking about it and that’s only a few things!

What empty boxes and junk remain in your life taking up space that God could fill? What mindset stands in the way of your breakthrough..

Day 4

Posted: January 6, 2012 in Uncategorized

I’ve learned today it’s a bad idea to drink a 32oz fruit smoothie in 30 minutes on an empty stomach. Maybe I should have slowed down a little??

Ever got in a hurry and it come back to bite you? Slow down a little and enjoy God, Family and your life!

Day 3

Posted: January 5, 2012 in Uncategorized

Well a trip to Walmart for fruit drinks and smoothies was a fun one. Walking past the frozen pizza and sweets isle was tough considering they call my name under normal circumstances.

When we align ourselves with God anything can happen. Thank you Lord for strength and clarity!

What a sacrifice

Posted: January 4, 2012 in Uncategorized

2 days into the fast and I’m already being tempted with Chili’s emails titled “kids eat free Jan 2nd – 4th”.  With a family our size you take advantage of offers like that!  You know sacrificing food for a couple of days sure seems like a big deal until you begin to really think about the price Christ paid for us.  Jesus thank you for your life, death and resurrection!  You don’t have to wait till easter to reflect and respond, take time today!

New Person

Posted: January 3, 2012 in Uncategorized

“You’ll be a new person” This was the title above 1 Samuel 10, day one of our reading devotional.

Remember just because the calendar year has changed doesn’t mean you’ll change automatically.

Be transformed, be changed, be a new person by the renewing of your mind!

We must choose to align ourselves with God in 2012 for change to take place.

Our success depends solely on our devotion to God!
